Chief Commercial Officer
Orange EV

Mike Saxton is the Chief Commercial Officer for Orange EV, the leading manufacturer of heavy-duty electric vehicles (HDEV). Mike built and leads Orange EV’s commercial functions from first contact to routine operations upon delivery of a fleet’s first pure electric terminal trucks. Trained originally in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Southern California (USC) and nuclear power engineering via the U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Navy, Mike completed his formal education via a Master of Business Administration from Duke University. Under Mike’s leadership, Orange EV became the first OEM to commercially deploy Class 8, 100% electric vehicle. In just over four years of introducing Orange EV’s prototype, Mike had secured more than 50 fleet-level accounts. Orange EV trucks have been commercially deployed since 2015 and work daily from California to New York across manufacturing, distribution, LTL freight / break bulk, municipal waste transfer, rail intermodal, seaport and other container handling operations.
