SEPTEMBER 25-28, 2017 ATLANTA, GEORGIA USA
As a rule, you can view all of Deutsche Messe’s web pages without having to disclose personal information. However, from time to time we do need certain personal details, such as your name and address, so that we can optimize our service for you.
In these cases we will expressly draw your attention to this requirement and ask – where necessary – for your consent.
Collecting, Processing and Use of Personal Data
Questions, suggestions or comments regarding data protection and the disclosure of personal data to third parties should be sent via e-mail to Deutsche Messe’s Data Protection Officer at: email@example.com.
Cookies are ASCII files (cookie.txt) in which text information is collected during your online session and stored. Your browser determines where the cookies are stored on your hard disk. Cookies contain information that is sent back to the host server during your next online visit. They can be read only by the server that originally placed them on your hard disk.
Social Media Plugins
The social media plugins on this page enable you to share articles of interest via your preferred networks.
Please note that these plugins transmit information (IP adress, no SSL protected data) as soon as you begin to access a social media site. This information is transmitted to the respective sites in the U.S. For this reason, we employ a 2-click procedure in which information is only passed on to third parties the moment you activate a button by clicking on it. After that you can use the button for sharing content in the usual way.
Creating a User Account for the Use of exclusive Online Services
All personal data entered when creating a user profile or when using online services will be processed with your consent. Deutsche Messe will also process these data for advertising purposes with your consent. In addition, these mandatory data as well as voluntary data will be transferred to Deutsche Messe Interactive for advertising purposes as well. Details are outlined in the consent declaration. Unfortunately, you cannot use these services like a ticket registration offered by Deutsche Messe without agreeing to a consent declaration. You may buy a ticket at the entrance of the fair without any registration.
Registration and Accreditation of Journalists
Deutsche Messe AG offers an accreditation for journalists as well as a simple online registration for journalists to receive access to the press-only website areas offered by Deutsche Messe AG. The registration processes for these services involve the creation of user accounts. For your registration we need your consent to collect, process and use your personal data. This Declaration of Consent can be revoked at any time, in which case the revocation will apply from the date of revocation forward.
Log File Data & Web Analytics
When having access to a Deutsche Messe website, we will automatically receive log file data. We process this data by using a pseudonym to optimize our website, for advertising purposes and for market research. You have the right to opposite to this by sending an email to the privacy officer of Deutsche Messe.
Anonymous site usage data are also collected and stored by means of a comScore method. The data are stored on your computer in the form of cookies which allow for anonymous analysis of website usage. With the data collected in this way, identifying specific users is by no means possible. The data are used for improvement purposes only, and IP addresses are stored only in an anonymous way. The data are not used for any other purpose, nor are they forwarded to any third parties. If you prefer not to allow anonymous use of your data, you may revoke your consent by following this link: http://www.sitestat.com/?lang=en_US . This will prevent “Sitestat analytics tag” cookies from being stored for comScore analysis.
Deutsche Messe processes your personal data on specially protected servers in Germany. Access is restricted to a small group of authorized persons who are empowered by Deutsche Messe to administer the technical, commercial and content-related aspects of the server.
Right of Revocation
You may revoke your consent declaration to a processing of personal data at any time.
You may at any time delete the user profile you have created and activated during online registration. To do this, simply access your profile online and click on “Delete Personal Profile.”
Data which have to be stored due to legal obligations will be blocked. A deletion of these data is not admissible.
Our personalized service relies on processing personal data you have provided. If you revoke your consent for a permission of your personal data, then we will no longer be able to provide personalized service.
